As of January 1, 2026, the merger between VARC and VPI is now official. This momentous union marks the beginning of a bright, new chapter for both organizations—and for the communities we serve.

MAUSTON, WI.—The VARC Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, held on October 17, 2025, serves as a shining example of the impact that can be achieved when a community comes together for a worthy and prevalent cause. Raising both money and spirits, this walk proved to be another way that VARC is helping to make a positive difference in the communities it serves, one step at a time.

After five years of proudly stewarding one of Viroqua’s most beloved local businesses, VARC has announced plans to transition ownership of the Cheese Corner, creating an opportunity for a new owner to carry forward a community tradition that began on May 21, 1986.

Disability service provider VARC held its 50th Anniversary Staff Retreat at the picturesque Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells on June 5. The occasion brought together dedicated staff from all corners of the organization, pausing operations at thirteen locations to honor a remarkable milestone—half a century of unwavering support for individuals with varying abilities across southern Wisconsin.

VARC has once again been named the "Best Employment Agency" in the Best of La Crosse awards put on by WKBT News 8. This honor was announced on April 1 and marks a big repeat win for VARC, who took home this award in 2023 and was also named runner-up in this category in 2024.
