VIROQUA, WI — We are thrilled to announce that, as of January 1, the merger between VARC and VPI is now official. This momentous union marks the beginning of a bright, new chapter for both organizations—and for the communities we serve.
Shared Visions and Shared Futures
VARC, Inc., a leading nonprofit provider of disability and employment services throughout Southern Wisconsin, has joined forces with VPI, Inc., a highly respected disability service provider headquartered in the Fox Cities area. Together, we are united in our mission to empower individuals of all abilities through innovative support, inclusive employment, and lifelong opportunity.
What This Merger Means for Wisconsin
By combining 110 years of experience and two dynamic teams, we are poised to create an even greater impact. The newly merged organization will:
Deliver a broader spectrum of services, from licensed childcare and early intervention to supported employment, trauma-informed mental health care, and school-to-work transitions.
Expand our reach across southwestern, central, and northeastern Wisconsin—serving more individuals and families than ever before.
Amplify our advocacy efforts to give inclusion a stronger voice statewide.
Offer enhanced convenience and flexibility to our business partners through expanded contract packaging services and customer support.
Continuity, Quality, and Innovation
We want to assure our clients, families, partners, and employees that existing programs will continue with minimal interruption. Our commitment to quality, person-centered values, and seamless service remains stronger than ever. With the same dedicated teams in place, we’re ready to innovate and respond to the evolving needs of our communities.
Leadership Perspectives
"VPI has built a remarkable legacy in the Fox Valley, and we’re honored to move forward together," said Liz Filter, President & CEO of VARC. "This merger enhances our ability to deliver exceptional services and creates new pathways for collaboration, advocacy, and innovation across the entire state."
Tim Riebau, Chief Operating Officer (Former President & CEO of VPI), added, "This merger is a natural alignment of two organizations that share a deep commitment to service, innovation, and person-centered values. Together, we are building on our strengths to ensure long-term sustainability, greater opportunities for those we serve, and continued positive impact in our communities."
Looking Ahead
We’ll share ongoing updates with clients, families, and community partners as we continue to integrate our teams and programs. We’re excited for all that the future holds—and grateful for your continued support as we keep moving forward on this new journey together!
