Warm greetings to our VARC friends and families!
What an exciting time at VARC! I am thrilled to share with you the latest edition of our quarterly newsletter, which showcases the remarkable milestones and achievements that our organization has accomplished in recent months. As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, it is a perfect time to reflect on our journey and the incredible impact VARC has made in the lives of individuals with disabilities and other life barriers throughout Wisconsin.
The first quarter of this year has proven to be one of tremendous accolades, and we share all of this recognition with our employees, clients, families, and communities. Highlighted throughout this edition are some of the ways in which VARC has been recognized so far this year. I’m truly so proud of those who are a part of our organization.
Our work this year is just beginning! We look forward to continuing to share and highlight the work we’re doing throughout 2025 and beyond. Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we’ll continue to empower futures and create lasting impact.

VARC Wins WMC's Manufacturer of the Year in the Empowerment Through Inclusion Category

MILWAUKEE, WI.—On February 20 at the prestigious Manufacturer of the Year Awards ceremony hosted by the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), VARC proudly claimed the title in the Empowerment Through Inclusion category. This recognition underscores VARC’s unwavering commitment to creating opportunities for individuals with diverse abilities and sets a remarkable example within the industry.

LA CROSSE, WI.—Governor Tony Evers and a host of local leaders held an essential talk back in February to discuss the area's most vital funding issues. This roundtable held at the La Crosse Public Library underscored the need for steady investments in childcare, disability initiatives, and, quite pointedly, workforce development.

LA CROSSE, WI.—A prestigious legacy award was conferred on the VARC organization during the La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce's Annual Meeting on March 3. With over 650 guests in attendance, the La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce marked a significant and exciting milestone for VARC as the organization celebrated its 50th anniversary on March 28.
VARC Shines Bright at the 2025 Best of La Crosse Competition

LA CROSSE, WI—VARC has once again been named the "Best Employment Agency" in the Best of La Crosse awards put on by WKBT News 8. This honor was announced on April 1 and marks a big repeat win for VARC, who took home this award in 2023 and was also named runner-up in this category in 2024.

VIROQUA, WI—VARC celebrates its 50th anniversary of being in business on March 28 of this year, founded in 1975 in Viroqua, WI. VARC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing residential, vocational, and community services to adults and children with disabilities and other life barriers.

This year marks a monumental milestone for VARC as they proudly celebrate 50 years of excellence in subcontract manufacturing. Founded in 1975, VARC has transformed from a small production facility into a world-class provider of packaging and assembly solutions, boasting seven locations across Southern Wisconsin, from La Crosse to Racine.

Client Service programming is designed to nurture that potential, offering robust Prevocational and Supported Employment services that transform lives and redefine possibilities.
